![]() Since the option is planned (as I recall) to allow server hosting from in-game, cloudsync would eventually lead to people bouncing decently large files back and forth at every login, which keep getting larger as the universe gets older. ![]() there are now dozens/hundreds of planets that all have B-tree changelogs for everything that anyone has done since the universe was made, which will add up over time. Since worlds are generated with the coordinates as seed values, the game stores individual planet maps as just the changes that have been made, as a B-tree, which is smaller. Cloudsync would give me a multiple megabyte sync-up for every session. Terraria uses an inefficient save system, where every block is saved on a pixelmap in addition to all the storage and blah blah, and all that's just for me. Depends on the size of the universe save files.
